Our pasture raised duck eggs are full of creamy rich flavor with bright orage yolks. Ducks get aproximately 75% of their diet by foraging. This gives us a more nutritious egg, with higher protein and omega-3 content. They also contain more vitamins and minerals, including B12 and selenium. The thicker shell gives them longer shelf life. Duck eggs are typically 50% bigger than chicken eggs. While great for omlets or breakfast, they are amazing for baking and lead to fluffier cakes, richer pastries, and higher meringues.
Some people with a sensitivity to chicken egg protein can consume duck eggs without a reaction, but you should consult a doctor first.
Ducks are seasonal layers, with spring and early summer being their peak production. This means we may have limited quantities in fall and winter.
For all egg orders
We collect eggs Saturday – Friday, wash on friday and have ready for pick up Saturday morning. You may order eggs and other listed items via our website for pick up at Haile Plantation Farmers Market, Alachua County – 441 market, Homestead Park in Williston (every 1st and 3rd Sunday) or if you cannot make it to market we can leave your pick up at the farmstand Monday -Friday (located at 10411 SW 138th st) for you to pick up at your convenience. The gates to the farmstand will be open for order pick up only on your desired pick up day (monday – friday) and close at 8pm. At this time the farmstand is only open for order pick ups. We will be expanding over time to regular hours and more options there in the future for a self serve store.

Availability: Ducks are seasonal layers, and egg production slows with shortened days. Hot summer weather will also affect production. Spring through early Summer is our most productive season for all eggs. We will be updating inventory on mondays with estimated quantities. All egg orders entered Monday -Friday will be prepared for the following week’s pick up.
